# edit_friendship

Enables or disables friendship permissions such as **Online Status**, **Show On Map**, and **Edit Rights**.

# Variables

The following table shows input values (you send them with the API call) and returned output values.

## Input basic parameters

| botname  | yes      | Your bot's SL login |

| dataType | optional | Set to "json" to get JSON reply instead of URL-encoded string |
| custom   | optional | The custom data (string) to be passed back to the caller script. This value will be returned back to the caller in HTTP response |

## Input

| slkey    | yes      | The UUID of the friend to manage permissions |
| see_online | optional\* | `1`= enable seeing online status<br>`0` = revoke permission |
| see_on_map | optional\* | `1`= enable showing location on the map<br>`0` = revoke permission |
| can_edit | optional\* | `1`= allow editing objects<br>`0` = revoke permission |

\*At least **one** of the permission parameters (`see_online`, `see_on_map`, or `can_edit`) must be included.

Gives a friend permission to see online status and map location but revokes edit rights (if they previously had them):
